Iomega Home Network, a network drive for the home
Iomega is now with a new network drive under the name Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive , which comes with storage capacity of either 500GB or 1TB.Among other things, the 1 Gb network connection and built-in print server.
During all the years I have tried so many hard drives from Iomega. My general opinion is that Iomega's external hard drives are always high quality. They are built solid and inspires confidence. However, they often cost a bit extra compared to similar models from other manufacturers. And their media players has unfortunately had its limitations in the number of file formats.
With the Home Media Network Hard Drive Iomega addressed so clearly against home users who want a network hard drive. The connection to the network via an Ethernet port which supports speeds up to 1 Gbps. The unit has a USB port which you can connect an additional external hard drive, for even more storage. The software that drives the device is called LifeLines, comes from EMC and is based on the Linux operating system. I need to buy a new computer and am torn between dell's studio XPS 8000 and dell Vostro 430 mainly for gamin?
they are both the same price and same specs really except the fact that the Vostro 430 is put under the buisness section of dell's website but XPS is under home so idk which 1 i should get
both hav processor of i7-860, 6gb RAM, GTS 240 video card, both come with a free monitor etc
the only real differnce is that the XPS has 1TB harddrive and the Vostro has 750GB but is $100 cheaper

The other guy is right that you are better off if you build your own, but that stuff about being cheaper is bull. No way can you beat Dell's price on a complete system. I don't know where these people get that crap! The problem with a mass-produced proprietary computer is that they are difficult to repair or upgrade, so you are pretty much locked in to your purchase. They can cost more in the long run, but you can't compete with their volume savings for price.
The i7-860 is a good cpu for gaming, and 6GB or RAM is fine, IF it works. "GTS 240 video card?" Is this an on-board video device or an actual video CARD? If it is a card, then you can upgrade it later easily if you want, but if it is on-board, then you may not be happy with it, and you may have too weak of a power supply to put in an add-on video card.
Go with the cheaper computer if you are sure that the only difference is the hard drive. 750GB is more than enough. The only people who need more are the ones who download and keep a lot of video. (I get by on a 150GB Raptor for gaming.)
