Dell GX280 Desktop not recognizing any cd/dvd drives.?
I was given a olde Dell GX280 and I learned it had a bad hard drive while installing a new OS.
I just received my new Hard Drive and the PC will not recognize any CD drives so I can not get a OS installed. Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks
Answer:
Try resetting your Bios settings to their default values, then check that your Bios is detecting the CD drive when the PC reboots. If not then it could be a faulty cable, or more likely, the CD drive itself could be faulty.
