I personally would not pay anything over $500. And for future reference, buying an expensive computer to game on is beyond idiocy, and in a class of its own. Building and gradually upgrading (BTW its ALOT easier than it sounds) is always a lot cheaper for gaming rigs, not to mention better in performance, because technology is moving at blazing fast speeds and "the best things" today, will be rendered obsolete in a matter of months and drastically lose their price.
